'Veronica Mars' to Become the First Major Movie Made by Kickstarter

Rob Thomas' detective favorite Veronica Mars has a devoted following. The "cloud watchers" have been anxious to see if a film adaptation would ever come to light after years of back and forth between creators. Today The Playlist reports that dreams do come true, with Kickstarter saving the day once more. Thomas and star Kristen Bell have gathered forces for a crowd-funded film and hope to raise 2 million dollars in only 30 days.
