Film Face-off: Steve Carell vs. Jim Carrey - Who is the Funnier Funnyman?

In the world of comedic actors, Jim Carrey and Steve Carell are magical. The 51-year-old Carrey has a lot in common with 50-year-old Carell. Beyond the fact that their names both start with "car," and I constantly forget how to spell their last names, they also have had great success in TV, comedic films and dramatic movies. They both starred in an Almighty film, and now that they both appear in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, it's the perfect time for a Film Face-off.   The Incredible Burt Wonderstone Characters Carrell Carell is the arrogant Burt Wonderstone, half of a magic act with Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi) at Bally's in Las Vegas. He feels like he owns the town until...

Forget Ashton Kutcher, the First Steve Jobs Movie Stars Justin Long and Arrives Next Month

If you’re bummed out to learn that Ashton Kutcher’s Steve Jobs biopic Jobs has been delayed indefinitely, don’t worry – there’s another film about the Apple visionary ready to debut next month. Website Funny or Die has revealed that they’ll be releasing iSteve, a comedic take on Jobs’ life and the biopic format – and it will be debuting on April 15, just four days before Kutcher’s film was set to hit theaters. Did a Funny or Die movie really scare a serious Jobs film into changing its release date? Probably not. Kutcher’s indie film was reportedly delayed because distributor Open Road Films didn’t have enough time to mount an effective ad campaign ahead of the April 19 release date. That means Funny or Die’s...

How a Librarian and a Group of Kids Convinced Francis Ford Coppola to Make 'The Outsiders'

Sometimes our collaborators come from unexpected places — as was the case for Francis Ford Coppola and his look at troubled teens in Oklahoma. The Outsiders spawned the careers of many of its cast members, including C. Thomas Howell as Ponyboy — the literary loner who quotes Robert Frost poems, reads Gone with the Wind, and is one of the only greasers of the group that has a shot at getting out of his cruddy town and making something of his life. The emotional story resonates with audiences, and you needn't be a 1960's gang member to know what its like to struggle with the frightening and confusing space of adulthood, to feel judged unfairly, or to experience heartbreaking tragedy. We've all been there on varying levels.  Website Letters...

Movie News: First Look at the Return of Axel Foley; 'Obama's America 2' and a Delay for 'Jobs'

Axel Foley is Back: It may be on TV now, but the first image of Eddie Murphy's return as Axel Foley is still worth a look for movie fans. Beverly Hills Cop series showrunner Shawn Ryan has been tweeting pics from the set, including a shot of Foley's Detroit Lions jacket and now a candid glimpse of Murphy with Brandon T. Jackson, who plays Foley's son. You can almost hear that signature Axel F. laugh in stereo from the two of them. It was also recently announced, by the way, that Judge Reinhold will be appearing in the show's pilot reprising his role as Billy Rosewood [Complex] Spring Breakers: While nowhere near the top ten, let alone close to James Franco's other new release (which held the number one spot for the second week in a row), Spring Breakers...
